6th Annual DC-CAPital Stars

| March 21, 2019 | Parties

A Tribute to Broadway showcased the artistic abilities of DC public and public charter students intent on making their dreams of going to college come true. Attracting over 1,000 guests and a panel of celebrity judges that included Tony winning star of “Pippin” on Broadway, Patina Miller, and Grammy winning bassist/composer/vocalist Esperanza Spalding, the show culminated with scholarships awarded to the top performers. A celebratory reception with live music and dancing followed the performance in the Nations Gallery. More than $700,000 was raised to support DC College Access Program’s work helping every DC public and public charter school student have a chance to attend and graduate from college.
