Written by Samantha Payer | August 9, 2019 | Parties National

THE PARTY The District’s finest enjoyed dazzling views and delicious cocktails at 12 Stories rooftop bar for the Capitol File x Bermuda Mid-Summer Soiree. The modern space was adorned with fresh florals and gold palms by Sofia Basave, and cheeky decor by the Bermuda team. Guests indulged in petite lobster rolls and crispy tuna tartare tacos as they watched the sunset over The Wharf on the outdoor patio.

THE PEOPLE VIPs from all over the Washington region celebrated, including ABC News anchors Nancy Chen and Michelle Marsh, Mrs. DC America Nikki Noya, and celebrity makeup artist Carl Ray. Also in attendance was Bermuda Tourism’s Director of PR and Content Development, Tiffani Cailor. Capitol File Editor-in-Chief Michael Clements capped off the night by giving a touching toast to the achievements and future of Capitol File magazine.

BEST IN SHOW The 12 Stories team, led by Jessica Dallesasse, shook up cocktails that added a tropical feel to the evening. The signature "South Shore" made with Goslings Gold Seal Rum, lemonade, and Q Ginger Beer completed the summery vibes. Guests also got a chance to step into the spotlight in the featured ‘boomerang booth’ by Book Extraordinary, capturing many instagrammable moments while a live DJ set the party’s upbeat vibes.
