As the warm weather continues to be upon us, we rounded up our four favorite locations not too far from DC that are perfect for a quick weekend getaway!
La Table Provencale
Inside L’auberge Provencale, a quaint bed and breakfast situated in the Shenandoah Valley in White Post Virginia, La Table Provencale features the best modern French-American cuisine in Virginia. In French culture, dining is an experience rather than just a meal. Leisurely eating and spending time at the dinner table is the main emphasis at La Table Provencale. Guests may choose among a three-course, five-course, or Chef’s tasting menu, and the menu selections change with every different season. Even better, La Table Provencale has a farm to table policy with herbs, vegetables and fruits coming from their own backyard as well as meat and dairy from the local community. For a more casual dining experience, La Table Provencale offers a bar and lounge with a snacks, cocktails and Parisian inspired cuisine.

A restaurant built to enrich its local community, Field & Main is based entirely around relationships. A farm to table restaurant, Field & Main offers a modern twist on American fare straight from the community that the restaurant is situated in. Additionally, every night, $1 from a designated menu item is donated to support the Fauquier Food Bank's Food Truck. A rustic-chic atmosphere makes the space feel intimate while you dine on food via partnerships with local farms. Field & Main also offers brunch on Saturday and Sunday featuring modern takes of everyone’s favorite breakfast dishes. Even better, the patio is slated to open in the upcoming weeks as warmer weather is upon us.
