Dora Maar’s objective is to share the rich history, stories, and people behind the clothes to create a more intentional and sustainable future for fashion.
Most recently the brand partnered with Rodarte to sustainably off-load past season merchandise. Dora Maar carries over 300 designers, from Chanel to Emilia Wickstead and Carolina Herrera.
“My mission was to create a platform of discovery and inspiration for pre-owned luxury fashion. A launching pad for consumers to discover the pre-owned luxuries that are found among their network’s enviable closets, and for our Muses to connect their closets to a network of women inspired by their personal style and intentional approach to fashion,” Lauren Wilson, CEO & Founder of Dora Maar.
Dora Maar is the next generation of luxury e-commerce, allowing their Muses to sell luxury fashion through their own digital storefronts.
By shopping the Muse closest, consumers have access to a personalized shopping experience from the people who inspire them.
Elizabeth, the platform’s latest muse, is a Texas-raised accessories addict who defines her style by incorporating over-the-top pieces into everyday life.
Her devotion to excessive accessories inspired her blog which has earned recognition from The New York Times, Harper's Bazaar amongst other esteemed publications.
The platform serves as a link between consumers and influencers, Savetsky being one and of them, consequently changing the landscape of fashion one fabric at a time.
“Henriette Theodora Markovitch, known as Dora Maar, was a famous French surrealist artist who I named my platform after….While many people have known Dora Maar as Pablo Picasso’s muse, she was actually my point of inspiration for her trailblazing ways. Surrealism challenges norms and looks at things from a different perspective, similar to our brand ethos at Dora Maar,” Wilson shares.
