Swarming the tidal basin to glimpse peak cherry blossom season is a Washington rite of passage, but blossom viewing can be short-lived and crowded. With these tasteful drinks you can embrace the District’s favorite ower and extend the party a few more weeks.

Get a double punch of blossom beauty drinking the Park Bloom cocktail in the glass-enclosed Cherry Blossom room in the main entrance of the Park Hyatt Washington (1201 24th St. NW, washingtondc.park.hyatt.com). The seasonal cocktail blends Japanese whisky, cherry blossom-infused Laphroaig, orange juice and cherry liqueur.

Walk from the mall to Nopa Kitchen + Bar (800 F St. NW, nopadc.com) for the simple yet luxurious Cherry Blossom cocktail mixed with aged rum and cherry puree, topped with prosecco. Or get away from the crowds at Kyirisan (1924 Eighth St. NW, kyirisandc.com) and imbibe a glass of ank You, Mr. Ozaki—an homage to the Tokyo mayor who gifted cherry trees to Washington in 1912. It uses sugar cane spirit Batavia Arrack instead of gin and is mixed with the slightly bitter aperitif Cocchi Rosa.

Like your blossoms raried? Bourbon Steak (2800 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, bourbonsteakdc.com) is offering extremely rare Yamazaki 18-year Mizunara oakaged whisky in 1-ounce ($201) and 2-ounce ($402) pours. The Cherry-Berry Caipirinha at Robert Wiedmaier’s Marcel’s (2401 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, marcelsdc.com) will put you in a samba state of mind via cherry-ginger syrup, cherry-blackberry basil shrub garnish, cachaça, lime and sugar. View responsibly.
