Don't let Lamborghini's supercharged reputation intimidate you. The brand's new Urus SUV provides ample power and unparalleled control wrapped in a sleek, userfriendly package.
The Lamborghini Urus
I’m not what you’d call a car person. So when Lamborghini offered to loan me the 2021 Urus Super Sport Utility Vehicle—its slicked-down, powered-up version of an SUV—for the weekend, I accepted, mainly due to my husband’s excitement. But to my surprise, when return day rolled around, I was sad to let the car go.
Six different driving modes plus EGO mode are available via the Tamburo driving dynamics selector.
The 2021 Urus combines comfort and a sporty look with the optional four-seat configuration; The Super SUV comes standard with five-seat configuration.
Featuring a 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine, the ability to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph, the car is certainly powerful. But along with that power comes ease: I always felt in control and extremely safe. The four-wheel-drive vehicle comes with six different driving modes, including Strada, Sport and Corsa; Neve for snow; Terra for off-roading; and Sabbia for sand. When testing out the more powerful modes, the car produced that signature Lamborghini roar. It was thrilling, to say the least.
The new Lamborghini infotainment system has a double touch screen.

Designwise, the Urus beautifully merges sporty and elegant styles, and although roomy inside, it never felt too big. There are a lot of techy extras I ended up not utilizing, but know that if I had more time, I’d ease into making the most out of the various offerings. I had a blast driving the car around the city—the adoring looks of passersby was especially exciting—and loved testing its capabilities on curvy, empty roads miles outside it. All in all, driving the Urus made me a bona fide car lover, and I’m 100% on board with that. From $200,000
