Food & Drink,

This Restaurant is Serving Up Salvador Dali-Inspired Dishes

By Jenn Thornton By Jenn Thornton | July 19, 2019 | Food & Drink,

Chef Keith Bombaugh has created a masterpiece with his vibrantly delicious interpretation of Salvador Dalí’s “The Burning Giraffe” and “Galatea of the Spheres.”

Mirabelle executive chef Keith Bombaugh channeled surrealism to find inspiration.

An artful ode to both works, Shrimp Through Dalí’s Eyes ($20) balances the “Burning Giraffe”-inspired flavors of confit garlic, chile puree, espelette shrimp and more with the tang of “Galatea”- driven cucumber, mango, apple and ponzu for a taste of the truly surreal. “I have always seen the contrasting sides of human emotions. We reflect the yin and yang balance with the flavors and presentation in this course. Together like the paintings they represent a balance,” chef Bombaugh says.
